
David and Cindy Sharpless started as volunteer assistant administrators at IER in 2010 and became volunteer administrators in 2013. Both are from Alabama and had missions experience in Africa, Israel, Mexico, and Russia. As volunteers, they are independent missionaries returning to the US annually to raise funds for their living expenses while in the field. They also raise funds for the school’s general fund and acquire sponsors for each year’s incoming 7th grade students.
David is a board-certified electrician and owned an electrical business and a construction business. Cindy is a National Board Certified English as a Second Language teacher with 16 years of experience in the US public school system.
Their principal responsibilities include fundraising, managing finances, managing the sponsorship program, organizing and hosting teams that visit the school to serve and meet sponsored students and their families. They also host Bible clubs in local primary schools.
